A Step-by-step guide
Our Wood Rock 55 is water resistant and is therefore perfectly suited for installation in damp rooms.
However, to prevent any infiltration of water through Wood Rock 55’s joints, we strongly recommend applying an additional and impermeable undercoat.
Les matériaux constituant les planchers Wood Rock 55 ne permettent pas de les poncer.
En théorie, nos planchers ne nécessitent pas de ponçage, étant très résistants à l’usure, aux rayures et aux taches.
Our Wood Rock 55 can be applied to flooring with a heating system.
The only condition is that this underfloor heating system is integrated into a cement screed.
If your subfloor is made of concrete (with moisture barrier), wood or ceramic tiles, it is compatible with our Wood Rock 55.
You can also lay our Wood Rock 55 on PVC, lino, laminate and parquet, if these coatings are in good condition and firmly glued to the subfloor.
Faced with other scenarios, remove your subfloor before starting the installation of Wood Rock 55.
Use non-abrasive detergents diluted in water before cleaning.
Do not use bleach, wax or oil.
Our Wood Rock 55 complies with two classes of use according to standard NF EN 685.
Good to know: there is an automatic calculator under the our products page that allows you to adjust the percentage of forecast losses according to your cut estimates.
Our Wood Rock 55 complies with two classes of use according to standard NF EN 685:
- Class 23 which certifies its compliance with intensive domestic use. It is therefore compatible with most rooms in your home. Avoid placing it in rooms likely to be exposed to large temperature variations (saunas, verandas, etc.).
- Class 33 which certifies its compliance with intensive commercial use. It is therefore perfectly suitable for waiting rooms, hotel lobbies, offices, restaurants, large shops, etc.
During acclimatisation of the floor, it is imperative to store it flat on a flat and regular surface.
The temperature of the acclimatisation room should never fall below 10°C and should never exceed 40°C.
Never store Wood Rock 55 upright!

To replace planks around walls:
- Start by unlocking the damaged plank(s) until you can remove them while carefully protecting the ends with the tongues and grooves.
- Replace the damaged plank(s) with a new plank and reassemble the previously unlocked plank(s).
To replace planks away from the walls:
In this case, you may need to remove the tongues from the new plank. Here's how:
Equipment needed:
- A sharp cutter.
- A square.
- Double-sided adhesive tape for carpets.
- A hand roller.
Step One:
- Cut a strip in the centre of the damaged plank using your cutter and square, making sure to leave four pieces of about 25 mm attached to the undamaged planks.
- Remove the cut centre and cut the remaining four pieces starting from their corners towards the cut area.
- Carefully unclip the pieces from the undamaged planks taking care not to damage their tongues and/or grooves.
Step Two:
- Take your new plank and remove the tongues on the length and width with your cutter. The same applies to the groove present on the width.
- Without removing the release paper from the face to the subfloor, place the adhesive tape halfway under the undamaged planks and letting the other half stand out at the location of the old, damaged plank. Under no circumstances should the double-sided adhesive tape be glued to the subfloor!
Step Three:
- Insert your new plank by placing the groove lengthwise into the tongue of the undamaged plank.
- Then press the remaining three sides to adhere to the tape.
- Finish with a hand roll so the new plank sticks even more to the tape.
